High-speed machining electro-permanent magnetic clamping technology is an advanced machining technology that improves machining efficiency and quality and reduces machining costs. High-speed cutting is a very complex material deformation and friction process. There is a high pressure and temperature in the cutting area of the tool, and the standard electromagnetic chuck can not withstand the enormous heat and pressure. A sudden power failure will lead to high-speed cutting unsafe accidents, waste not only a lot of workpiece materials but also cause electromagnetic chuck damage. The cost is enormous. This has led to the emergence of new technology for high-speed machining using magnetic clamping system –  electro-permanent magnetic chuck.
This is because the electro-permanent magnetic chuck is magnetized by electric pulses and converted into a permanent vital chuck, with a permanent magnetic solid force that does not require an electric current to maintain and no loss of magnetism in the event of a power failure.
High-speed cutting processes do not generate heat inside the EPM chuck, which does not lead to thermal deformation of the workpiece and is more accurate than an electromagnetic chuck. At the same time, the internal parts of the EPM chuck are immovable and can withstand high cutting pressures without failing, so there is no need for maintenance and repair for a long time.
