For loads weighing up to several tons or dozens of tons, electrically switched permanent magnets are the better choice as lifting magnets.<\/p>\n<p><strong><b>Permanent Electromagnetic Lifter VS Lifting Electromagnet<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While electromagnets need continuous and expensive electrical power to maintain magnetism, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvrmagnet.com\/category\/electro-permanent-lifting-magnets-1.html\"><u>permanent electromagnetic lifter<\/u><\/a>\u00a0only uses electricity to turn it on and off.
